About Us
Who We Are
We are the independent editorial team behind theresistanceband.com.au. Our work is focused on researching, reviewing, and writing about pokies venues and gaming options across Australia. We provide information and reviews only — we are not a gambling operator, we do not accept bets or wagers, and we do not run any gaming machines or gambling services ourselves. Everything you read on this site is published for informational purposes, to help you understand your options before you decide where and how to play.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help readers in Australia make informed, safe choices when searching for pokies near me. We know that finding a trustworthy venue, understanding local gaming rules, and knowing what to expect can be confusing. We aim to cut through that confusion with clear, honest, and up-to-date content, so that every reader can approach pokies with realistic expectations and the knowledge needed to play responsibly.

Editorial Independence
We believe in being transparent about how this site operates. theresistanceband.com.au may earn affiliate commissions when readers follow links to third-party services or sign up through our recommendations. However, these commissions do not influence our editorial rankings, ratings, or reviews in any way. Our assessments are based on our own research and editorial judgement. If a venue or service does not meet our standards, we say so — regardless of any commercial relationship.
Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling
Gambling should always be treated as a form of entertainment, never as a way to make money or solve financial problems. The content on this site is intended only for adults aged 18 or over, or the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction, whichever applies to you. We encourage all readers to set limits on time and money spent, to never chase losses, and to take regular breaks. If gambling stops being fun, or if you are concerned about your own gambling or that of someone close to you, we urge you to seek help from professional support services available in Australia.
